Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, the National Vice President of Sales is responsible for orchestrating the overall sales strategy across Canada and ensuring its disciplined execution in the field. A motivating leader with a sharp focus on performance, he/she supports regional directors, strengthens the commercial maturity of teams, and drives growth in strategic diversification segments.

Equally action- and analysis-oriented, the National VP of Sales ensures rigorous use of forecasting tools (Salesforce, Tableau), exemplary pipeline governance, and proactive management of key national accounts. This person works closely with corporate functions (marketing, finance, operations, supply chain, strategic development) to guarantee coordinated execution aligned with SOPREMA’s ambitions.

Strategic leadership and growth

  • Define and deploy the national sales strategy aligned with SOPREMA’s corporate vision and growth priorities.
  • Identify and prioritize expansion levers, including growth of diversification segments and penetration into new markets.
  • Develop and lead the national key accounts strategy, ensuring consistency, governance, and value creation for key clients.

Performance management and commercial rigor

  • Establish rigorous pipeline and forecasting discipline: data quality, review frequency, and forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure exemplary and consistent adoption of Salesforce across all regions, including national standards for use, qualification, and follow-up.
  • Use available data (Tableau, CRM) to anticipate trends, identify risks, and turn insights into concrete action plans.

Team management and national alignment

  • Lead, mobilize, and hold regional directors accountable; instill a culture of performance, excellence, and alignment.
  • Harmonize sales practices and sales processes across the country.
  • Support talent development, provide leadership coaching, and ensure succession planning.

Budget management and optimization of commercial levers

  • Take responsibility for the national sales budget: forecasting, investments, commission structures, and disciplined expense management.
  • Optimize margins in collaboration with finance, marketing, and strategic development teams.
  • Contribute to demand planning and coordination with the supply chain.

Representation and influence

  • Represent SOPREMA with national key accounts, strategic partners, and industry associations.
  • Act as the spokesperson for the sales strategy with internal teams and corporate stakeholders.

Your Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in management is an asset.
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Your Experience and knowledge :

  • Over 15 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior multi-regiona THEl leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, distribution channels, and market development.
  • Proficiency with CRMs, especially Salesforce; proven ability to establish disciplined usage.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret data (Tableau, CRM) and make informed decisions.
  • Recognized experience managing and growing national accounts.

Technical Sales Representative – Acoustics & Interior Insulation

YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for the promotion, specification of SOPREMA products and systems to clients with the assigned territory. Also responsible for maintaining existing clients and the development of new clients for growth in the assigned territory. In addition, there are Field Technician responsibilities with in the region. These duties include support to the sales department and our client base for Roofing and Building Envelope systems installed on the different sites. Provide internal and external training related to the processes and recommendations of uses on Soprema products. Provide on site evaluation on installation of Soprema systems. Provide assistance as required on any potential leak call investigations, that may arise in our platinum warranty program.

The prime market areas included industrial, commercial and institutional construction segments. Clients included owners, corporate and property management accounts, architects, engineers, consultants, applicator/contractors, and distributors.

  • Coordinate the efforts of the sales force and the relationship with our distributors, professionals;
  • Develop plans for the local market for appropriate coverage of the customer types in order to effectively promote SOPREMA products;
  • Arrange meetings, demonstrations or seminars that highlight SOPREMA products using events such as “Architectural Lunch & Learns” and Symposiums;
  • Participate in industry trade shows, and industry association meetings and events;
  • Analyze market issues and trends and make recommendations to the Regional Manager to adjust pricing, technical recommendations as required to obtain market share, while maintaining long-term strategies;
  • Support to the sales department and Soprema client base for Roofing, Building Envelope and Below Grade.
  • Provide internal and external training related to the processes and recommendations of uses on Soprema products.
  • Provide on site evaluation on installation of Soprema systems.
  • Provide assistance as required on any potential leak call investigations, that may arise in our platinum warranty program.
  • Communicate, liaise and maintain a positive presence with industry professionals, including contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, specification writers and owners;
  • Communicate and liaise with all head office departments providing a transfer of market information, market requirements and technical concerns;
  • May require additional functions as directed by the Sales Director

Education :

  • Education in Business, Building or Materials engineering or in Architecture.
  • Continued Education in sales training or industry related disciplines

Knowledge and Competences :

  • Bilingual (an asset);
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the construction and industry related markets in the assigned region;
  • 3 to 5 Years sales experience in the construction market or another similar market;
  • A working knowledge of the Building Envelope including Waterproofing and Air Barrier Markets, Knowledgeable in Spray Foam Insulation
  • Ability to read architectural plans and specifications and draw simple construction details;
  • Executive level presentation, selling and negotiating skills;
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills;
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills;
  • Excellent time management.

Work conditions :

  • The Technical Sales Representative can expect some after-hours meetings and weekend activities as required to accomplish is duties;
  • Daily work schedule can vary depending on circumstance;
  • The Technical Sales Representative can expect to travel to outside areas of the local market within their territory or region and potentially in the United States as required. Must have valid drivers license and Canadian Passport

Physical requirements :

  • Excellent physical condition required.
  • Regularly visits job site, climbing stairs and / or ladders to access roofs or below grade situations.
  • Must be comfortable with heights as well as working on construction sites.
  • May actually require doing small demonstrations of product usage at job sites, symposiums or trade shows. This may require the use of specialized tools.
