Acting as an expert of the shipping, and reporting to the logistic leader, the Shipper is responsible for loading and unloading trucks. He/She follows the storage layout in order to bring or to pick up the pallets in the right position and doing his/her job in the best manner. He/she is responsible for the quality (On time, in full) of the loading of finished goods to the customers and guarantees the reliability of the preparation quality before shipment.
Although he/she is involved in the global performance of the plant and is a support to the other departments.

- Ensuring the reception and transfer of raw materials and finished products
- loading/unloading trucks
- Order picking as assigned
- Daily pre-shift inspections of assigned lifting equipment and report any hazardous situations
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Communicate shipment discrepancies or errors to the logistic leader
- Conduct any repacking activities that may arise
- Suggesting solutions to improve work processes
- Ensuring accuracy of shipments received from suppliers and products picked up by customers
- Organizing the warehouses in a clean, effective and safe manner
- Enforcing health and safety rules, follow adequate training in conjunction with the safety department to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Anticipate the snow removal schedule. Operate a snowblower tractor and other snow removal equipment
- Clear snow and ice in all designated areas and make sure all pedestrian accesses are clear.
- Forecast amount of salt needed in preparation of winter season

- Mathematical aptitude
Your Knowledge and Competencies
- Shipping and Receiving: 1 year (required)
- Experience in receiving of merchandise and barcoding (an asset)
- Fork lift licence
