Your role in our team

Your role in our team

Reporting to the Maintenance Leader, the Maintenance Mechanic performs tasks related to the proper functioning and repair of equipment for mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic aspects, works in collaboration with the majority of departments and provides technical support to the production team while following the rules of occupational health and safety.

•    Acting as an mechanical specialist;
•    Improving the reliability of the systems in place;
•    Performing all required repairs as well as preventive maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal and production equipment;
•    Reading plans;
•    Performing necessary repairs to buildings and ancillary systems;
•    Completing inspections of various equipment and facilities (machinery, buildings, etc.);
•    Ensuring that pneumatic, hydraulic, thermal and mechanical equipment is safe at all times;
•    Participating in the development and follow-up of the preventive and predictive maintenance plan in collaboration with the supervisor;
•    Working in collaboration with various trades during major works;
•    Participating in the planning of machine shutdowns with the Maintenance Leader;
•    Fostering communication among team members, and maintaining or improving team spirit;
•    Promoting a healthy and safe work environment;
•    Answering service calls.

The skills we are looking for

The skills we are looking for

Your background

•    Milwright (443A) certificated is required

Your hard skills

•    Understanding and interpretation of the various common systems of factories
•    Good knowledge of industrial equipment
•    Experience in Industrial maintenance production support
•    Welding and general fabrication experience
•    Good knowledge of Electro-pneumatic controls and troubleshooting
•    General electrical troubleshooting and practices are an asset
•    Working at heights and forklift driver licences are an asset
•    Must have a driver’s licence

Other conditions

Longer term out of province (Quebec and B.C.) hands-on company training is required.
