YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the candidate will be responsible for performing tasks related to the operation of the Pouring table and adjusting it according to the finished product. They will participate in the maintenance of the Pouring table and its mechanical components. The candidate will actively collaborate with the R&D laboratory on testing new formulations.
Training: As the plant comes into operation around October 2026, the candidates will need to travel to Drummondville Quebec for two weeks at a time until training is completed (approximately 10-12 trips). There is Per Diem available while away in Quebec.
THE CHALLENGES WE HAVE FOR YOU
· Operate the Pouring table;
· Provide occasional assistance with the operation of the unwinder;
· Adjust machine parameters to to meet the expected quality of finished product;
· Collaborate with the Production Team Leader to achieve objectives and perform their duties in their absence;
· Communicate raw material orders to the Team Leader;
· Collaborate with the Quality Laboratory during preliminary tests prior to production;
· Document key production factors for monitoring and continuous improvement of activities;
· Use the Computerized Production Management System (CMMS/MES – GPAO) (enter kinetic tests, consult tolerances, adhere to production schedule, and perform general consultations);
· Support the Team Leader in production activities and the maintenance team in carrying out the preventive maintenance plan;
· Ensure that work areas comply with SOPREMA’s cleanliness and safety standards;
· Perform any other related tasks;
· Participate in cleaning the equipment and conducting inventory counts.
· Suggest any measures aimed at improving production activities and occupational health and safety.
THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Academic
· High school degree
Knowledge
· Training in handling hazardous materials (an asset);
· HAZMAT spill response training (an asset);
· GPAO software: AS/400 (an asset);
· Ability to consult and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS);
· Forklift operation (an asset);
· Knowledge of Health and Safety standards;
· Experience in a manufacturing plant (an asset).
